THERE IS LITTLE SNOW IN TOWN - IS THE CARNIVAL STILL HAPPENING?

• YES. We are working hard to bring you the best event we can while working with Mother Nature. To its core, the Winter Carnival in 2024 is about celebrating Revelstoke's 125 Birthday! The Rail Jam, Outhouse Races, Music and other activities will take place no matter what. Please keep checking the website, especially, the SCHEDULE for updates. 

WHAT IF IT IS RAINING? 

• In the event of rain we will assess the situation and keep everyone posted. Music will go on! We just might need to move venues.

MAY I BRING MY FURRY FRIEND?

• NO. PLEASE DO NOT bring your dog, cat, horse or other pet. ESPECIALLY, to the Sled Dog Meet & Greet on Sunday. PLEASE, NO ANIMALS. NO DOGS WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE MUSIC AND BEER GARDEN VENUE.

DO I NEED A TICKET FOR FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC?

• YES. Friday, March 1 concert featuring A. Skillz is ticketed. TICKET LINK HERE.
  • Kids 12 and under are free.

• Saturday, music is FREE. 
• Sunday, $10 at the gate (No Beer Garden)

IS THE MUSIC FAMILY-FRIENDLY/ALL AGES?

• Yes. 

WHAT IS THE PARACHUTE?

• Weather permitting, all music will be held under a big parachute. 

DO I NEED TO PRE-REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE IN AN ACTIVITY?

• Yes. Rail Jam and Outhouse Races require pre-registration. 

DO I NEED A TICKET TO SPECTATE? 

• NO. You do not need a ticket to watch any activities or walk around the Carnival grounds. 
• You will need a music ticket to enter the Beer Garden and Music Venue on Friday night after 6:30p.

ARE THERE FREE ACTIVITIES?

• There are lots of activities that are free or by donation. Please take time to read over the website and the Schedule. We ask that you give a donation to help support our participating non-profits or hosts organizing the activity.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY ID TO ENTER THE BEER GARDEN?

• YES. YES. YES.

IS SMOKING PERMITTED IN THE MUSIC VENUE (UNDER THE PARACHUTE)? 

• NO. Smoking is not permitted in the music venue. NO VAPING OR SMOKE OF ANY KIND.

IS SMOKING PERMITTED ON CARNIVAL GROUNDS?

• We ask that you smoke in the designated smoking area only.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

• Check the weather. 
• Please dress warm as all events at Centennial Park are outside and standing only. Except if your dancing! Bring layers. Dress fun - show your creativity and spirit!

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL?

• NO. Absolutely NOT. NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED. We will have security on site at all times.

WHY IS THE CARNIVAL BEING HELD AT CENTENNIAL PARK RATHER THAN DOWNTOWN?

• For a variety of reasons the event is being held at Centennial Park. The key reasons being that we are trying to be as efficient and resourceful with resources as possible. 

WILL THERE BE FOOD ONSITE?

• YES. There will be a number of food vendors and trucks on site. Please visit out VENDOR page. 

WILL THERE BE BATHROOMS ON SITE?

• We will have porta potties on site. The Centennial Park bathrooms will most likely still be closed due to possible freezing conditions.

• There is no parking at Centennial Park and we expect the Recreation Centre to be full. Please consider walking from town or leaving your car closer to town.
